*The Imperfects* are a range of products with small flaws that are still ready to be enjoyed in a loving home. Some flaws have been repaired to their original state, or very close, while others are still visible but do not affect the item's usability. Discounts reflect the level of damage and/or the invisibility of the repair. *The Imperfects* are part of our ongoing commitment to earth care and sustainability, and represent an opportunity to save these treasured pieces from landfill. Please note that these items are sold as they are, with full disclosure of any flaws, and are therefore final sale.
Designers of furniture and white ceramics, Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte founded their company in 1996. The only ceramic makers in Paris, they work from their studio on Boulevard Masséna and export all over the world.
Following in the tradition of the great ceramic ateliers of the 18th century, Astier de Villatte creates handmade ceramics in Paris using ancestral molding and stamping techniques. Each piece has an inscription incised into the clay: the logo of an interlaced A and V, along with the initials of the artisan who made the piece.
Imperfection: One of the leaves broke off, but has been reattached. The scar is still visible on closer inspection (see image).
Dimensions: 23.5cm x 19cm x 18cm
